This tape is fun, high energy, made me feel great. Couldn't wait to get out there and walk. I like the two sides with increased pace on 2nd side.

My mistake when I thought these songs were sung by the original artists. When I found out it was not, it kind of put a damper on the whole reved up work out thing. yeah well, lesson learned. It was not horrible and can work in a pinch.

I don't really remember what's on this one. I purchased to install in my MP3 for walking/jogging and it's fine

So I first ordered this item off QVC, and I used it 2-3 times and loved it. Then it started to make some noises after I used it a few times, and also one of the screws on the foot pedals got stripped and was completely loose. I returned it and since they were on back order from QVC I ordered a new one from Amazon. The 2nd one I got was from Amazon and it began making slight clicking and thumping noises after only 1 use - it also began squeaking....I really like the convenience of having this machine at home and it is so small it is great...anyways I decided to try one more machine. The 3rd one ended up having the same problems so I returned it for a refund. Not sure if I just got defective ones or what but for the price I was not willing to accept the noises....I felt as though it was going to break after a month or so. On the good side - I felt it gave me a good workout and I actually wore a heart rate monitor while using it and it seemed effective in keeping my heart rate up, I did have the resistance at least over half way. Also I did arm weights periodically during workout to keep heart rate up. So I have very mixed feelings about this machine as you can see....I would recommend trying it if it is the only way you will be able to workout.....It works.

This is the second InMotion trainer I have purchased. The first lasted about 4 months. The second lasted 2 weeks. Eventually the left pedal will start to wobble and then come completely off the track. It's obviously a defect in the design since the exact same break has occurred in a bunch of reviews below. It was a great, little machine until it started to wobble. Its just a question of how long yours will last.

I purchased this machine to do cardio at home on those nights when I am too tired to go to the gym. It arrived quickly and took only minutes to assemble. I am in good shape ( 5'3 and 107 lbs...work out several times a week at the gym) and was still able to get a good workout on this machine! It was enjoyable and fun. This machine takes up almost no space at all. I don't have anything negative to say...I like the fact that I had to engage my core muscles to stay on it....I will post again in a few weeks to see if my love affair continues....

I live in a large coastal city where every square inch of my living space is premium. Years ago, I purchased the mini-stepper from Sharper Image. I literally was burning through each stepper on average every two to three months. The rod in the middle would snap (poor design). I bought another stepper from Target that had a cable in the middle, that cable broke within a month and a half. Finally I decided to compromise my space and bought a larger elliptical machine. I had it for about six months and the cross bar weld blew out. Here's the thing, I RUN on these and really give the machine a hell of a workout. This machine has stood up to my abuse for 2 months now without a sign of it breaking. I did have to tighten the bolts on the left foot petal about a month after using it. It's small, I can put it under my bed and am thrilled with the design! It's a simple bicycle petal and the foot pad rests on a roller blade wheel. Absolutely genus! I actually get a great cardio from this and work up a good sweat. I saw another reviewer here mentioning something about balance. I'm guessing they've never used any kind of cardio machine before because I didn't have an issue at all. The critique of the elliptical motion not being that big is valid but if you think of this as a stepper, that won't make a difference to you. I think the calorie counter is off. It says that I've burned 820 calories after an hour which I know from other machines and when I belonged to a gym, is not the case. I'm sure I'm getting a good 600 - 650 calorie burn after an hour on this. That's it for my review! Really happy with this! :)

I absolutely LOVE this machine. I was looking for something that wouldn't take up a lot of room in my house and that wouldn't make a lot of noise and this is perfect. It took me less 10 minutes to set up the machine and start using it. I admit I'm close to 200 pounds and have no difficulty keeping my balance while on it. I love the fact that the machine allows you to go forward and backwards and the best thing is that you can control the resistence. A lot of people complain about the short stride but I think it is really easy to get used to. I did have some knee pan the first few uses but after a few weeks of using I have little to no knee pain and have really built up my stamina. Another great feature is the computer on the machine. I exercise in the morning before going to work and get back on later in the evening and it keeps track of what I already accomplished earlier that day and I can reset every night for the next day. I don't feel guilty anymore watching my favorite shows on TV because I just hop on my elliptical trainer and get a fantastic workout for an hour.

Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer

Reviews

After much research, especially reading independent reviews, we decided on the Schwinn 430. It took about one and a half hours to assemble with two of us working together. Directions were fine. This is a very solid and quiet machine. Since it rolls on front wheels, one person can move it around quite easily. Operation is simple to learn from a well-writen owners manual. No regrets here.

I researched ellipticals for quite a while before ordering the Schwinn 430. My friend, Tom, also researched this type of equipment until his eyes fell out of his head. He wound up buying the Sole for about twice the cost of the Schwinn. In any event, he recommended the Schwinn as a good buy for the price. I then read just about all 400 Amazon reviews and FINALLY made my purchase. I ordered my Schwinn 430 from Amazon on 3/1/10 and it was delivered on 3/8/10. I was delighted that it was delivered so fast and also happy about the free shipping. My machine was delivered by ABF Freight Co. I know that some reviewers have complained about the shipping company but I had no problems at all. The driver was wonderful. He took the box down a small hill to the back of my house, up two steps onto the deck and then into the house. He was great!!!!! It took Tom about 1-1/2 to 2 hours to put the machine together. He had just recently put together his Sole and so the parts were recognizable to him although I nearly passed out when I saw the photo of all the parts in the manual. Tom said that the manual was straight forward although there was an addendum for a particular washer. We didn't see that until I said "hey, what's this piece of paper saying?" All the pieces were accounted for and all the holes lined up perfectly. He used some of his own tools but used the supplied allen wrench where indicated. We didn't lube the parts as recommended by some reviewers. I've used it for 3 days now and there is not a squeak to be heard, except for the creaking of my knees. I'm 5'7" and about 150 lbs and the 18" stride is fine for me. I'm a former runner and in good shape (I thought). I have the elliptical on level 1 and after 20 minutes, I've worked up a good sweat. I agree that a backlight for the computer would have been nice but it's not a deal breaker for me. The 6 programs are more than enough. I think this machine is well made and feels very solid. There is no rocking or moving. I have it on a carpet and did not buy a mat. I love that it has a small footprint. The longer machines would not have fit into the space alloted for the elliptical. For the price, it can't be beat. I highly recommend it. I'll post again in a month to let you know if there is any squeaking.

Elliptical arrived in a timely manner. Husband put it together is a couple of hours over two evenings. It is extremely quiet and smooth in operation. I knew the control panel wasn't lighted before I bought it, and that is a problem at night, but one I can live with for the price. The programs are easy to figure out. Overall a good price for a solid piece of exercise equipment.

I noticed some folks here have asked to hear from anyone who has used the Schwinn 430 for an extended period of time. I purchased this product in October 2008, so that's nearly a year and a half of use. I probably spend about a half hour on it six days a week, and I go about 210 lbs. So far no *major* problems. I will say however that there may be something to the squeeky issue that has been raised by some others. First, I can recall that when I first assembled the unit there was a squeek where the arm-bars pivot on the main mast. (It may help to refer to a photo of the 430 as I try to describe various parts.) It was because I over-tightened the screws. After loosening a half turn, no squeek. So that's really a non-issue. However, in the last month I've noticed a different problem. I started hearing a squeek, or more accurately a clicking noise in the lower half of the unit, along with a slight wobble, or bumpy feeling to what otherwise has been a very smooth range of motion. In fact, the smooth ride was one of the big improvements I had admired about this unit compared to another low-budget (Precor) unit I used to own. I noticed that the 430's plastic wheels that run on the track had deposited a graphite-like powder build up, the depth of a few mm at the back of the track. It was easy to clear away and it did run smoother afterward. However, even then I am getting some of that wobble/squeek sensation that will begin to appear about half-way through my workouts. In trying to decipher why, one thing I have noticed is that the feet plates are fairly wide and that I actually place my feet so they are as narrowly spaced as the plates allow. This means that my weight is not centered directly above the leg-bars that hold the foot-plates. If I space my stance farther apart, more centered directly above the leg bars, or outside them, the noise and slight wobbly effect is lessened. It's a bit awkward, but I have become more used to it with practice. Still, I cannot find the direct source of the problem and I do worry that it signals a problem that will only worsen. My guess is that the weight distribution is torquing the joints a little bit, probably inside the casing that holds the flywheel. But I'm not going to open the case and poke around. I'm worried, but so far no catastrophes. All in all, it has been a reliable product and a good value.

I didn't do much research for buying this machine. I just started looking for an elliptical home exercise machine. And then found out on google that amazon has this machine, and over 400 people have already wrote review. Well, i read the reviews and decided that this is it. I usually take a long time to make a decision in purchasing the big ticket items. But, i decided about this machine within 45 minutes. I truested and liked the other folks who have used it and shared their experiences. The machine is really quite (except for a few bearable squeaks) and the display is not bad at all. I can see the display without any problem. Usually I have the room light on when working out. Assembly was OK. It took about two hours between me and my wife putting it together. Make sure not to loose any washer, locker, or nuts. Schwinn did not a supply a sigle spare assembly nuts. The only thing that I wished that the machine had was a fan. I can turn the ceiling fan which works fine for me, but there may be other users who may not have the fan facility at the location where they want to put the machine. But, i will still recommend this machine to anyone. There are numerous options available for cooling off. The machine has flexible programming, it's up to individuals to choose whatever fits for them.

Weider Total Body Works 50000 Gym Weider Total Body Works 50000 Gym

Reviews

Pros: very nicely priced (especially at Weider site) in comparison with other machines of this type; well built; and came pretty much put together already. Cons: This machine has no adjustment for shorter users - in other words, neither the length of the platform nor the cords can be adjusted. The lower frame has only one position available, which means that if you are under 5'10" or so and try to do the basic cardio exercise which involves sqautting and pulling on the cords, you probably won't be able to reach the cords behind you - - they're just too far away. Even if you grab them, when you finish the motion, your feet are no longer on the foot pad. You can get around this by doing the squats separately, or by leaving the bench only partially extended (which is not recommended by the manufacturer, as it leaves the bench unsecured). Other negatives: The unit does not come with any exercise program, whether on DVD, tape or just written - - just a chart of various exercises. It's left up to the user to develop a regimen. Also, the round plastic covers at the bottom of the frame are not wheels, which means moving this thing involves actually dragging or lifting it (and it's pretty heavy).

This home gym won't make you look like Rocky Balboa, but that is besides the point. This little bad boy is awesome. I am a fitness freak and needed something for the home because of a crazy schedule. It is more than worth the one hundred and odd dollars for the workout. Like I said you won't bulk up like Rocky, but you will break a sweat and stay in shape just using this if you are not lazy. Great piece of equipment to have at home; and, good for a temporary or supplemental workout for the regular gym. Save the whales mf's!

As an ex-collegiate athlete, I bought this machine so I could workout on my schedule. GREAT investment. I use it several times a week. The machine is very heavy duty with heavy gauge steel tubing, and is also very stable, no tipping even at the highest incline. I am able to get a full upper body workout, and do several lower body exercises. Though it could be modified to accommodate a few more lower body exercises, the TBW 5000 works great for what it is designed to do, and is a great value for what I paid.

When I was young (in the 70's), my father purchased the first generation of these machines. After the novelty wore off, it became my machine. I had never saw anything like it until Chuck Norris started selling a similar machine in the late 90's. I thought I would get one, but it was too expensive. Last week, I purchased this Weider Total Body Works 5000. It is a lot heavier than the one we had in my youth. This weighs around 70 lbs, where as the one I had weighed around 35 lbs. This machine is real quality. It reaches a higher incline than my old one and is built for more exercises. I've been training my 11 yr old son, so I've had to lower the incline. I've noticed that if you lower the incline to the lowest notch, there is a knob in back that hits the ground, so what I did for my son was put the incline on the second notch and place books under the back of the machine. Based on the thickness of the book, determined the incline. In a week, he quickly went from a slight incline to fully at the second notch. I love to work out, so I doubt if this machine will go unused. I will also make my son use it as training for his swimming, but my wife and daughter will probably not use the machine. Like anything, if you don't build up a habit of working out, this machine will be just another piece of furniture. I would encourage you to block out a specific time each day to work out. When asked how do I find the motivation to work out each day, I tell them "don't think about it, just do it". The moment you think about it, you will justify why it will be better later. Oh, one more thing that I noticed in the comments. This is hard to fold up to store. This is both right and wrong. If you can lift the gym, then it is easy to fold it up. But, like I mentioned, it weighs around 70 lbs. So, it would not be easy for women and children (no offense -- I do know a few women that can lift over 70 lbs over their heads, but this is an exception rather than a rule). So, if you are committed to work out every day (or at least every-other day), you will love this machine.

I have been comparing these type of machines to establish some customer service before purchase - and its been over 13 days and Wider has not responded back to any thing that i requested - Warranty on parts / parts replacement / when they will have some in stock on the web site - Absoutley NOTHING back - if you can't back up your product, why should we buy it - I am considering other products that cost more, but have customers in mind!!!!!

Schwinn Airdyne Upright Exercise Bike Schwinn Airdyne Upright Exercise Bike

Reviews

Schwinn Airdyne is of excellent quality. Directions for assembly could be better. Best to have two people to put it together. Does an excellent job of exercising both upper and lower body. Integrated fan keeps you cooled off. I would recommend this and would buy again. Purchased from Amazon at a very good price.

I purchased my Schwinn Airdyne over 18 years ago and can honestly say it has been used regularly as part of my cross training workouts. I am one of those who love to workout and try to do something every day. It provides a great cardiovascular workout and really helps strengthen my legs and butt when riding my outside bike. I am a 51 year old female and have amazed doctors with my heartrate recovery time on the two treadmill tests I've had. I know it is because of this indoor bicycle. Not sure if it is still available, but I got a book stand that attaches to the cyclometer stand. Good novels have kept me entertained enough to ride sometimes for an hour at a time, ( but usually ride for 45 minutes). Without the book stand, I must be honest and say that riding this would be very boring. Shorter workouts using interval training will get your heart stronger in no time. Ear plugs are helpful as the Airdyne is noisy. To reduce the wind, I stuck strands of duct tape on the wheel frame to direct some of the wind off my face. The bike is very easy to move around simply by tipping it up on the front wheels and sliding it wherever you want. I am looking to replace my Airdyne as too many parts have been replaced and it is truly on its last leg. You will definitely gain strength in your heart, lungs, glutes, quads and hamstrings by using this bike regularly.

Look, there is no other way to say this: if you want a machine that will last decades, give you as much of a workout as you're up to at a reasonable price the Airdyne is it. We have owned one for thirty years and it is still going. Just bought another for our winter place. I don't recall EVER having a problem with the old one; perhaps I had to tighten something now and then but don't recall. And do NOT be put off by people who say it is too difficult to assemble-it is not. If you have NO mechanical skill at all ask a friend....its not that hard. Grab some cheap open end wrenches, particularly a 7/8", and maybe a pair of vice grips or slip joint pliers and you are good to go. It is easier if TWO people do the job. Saddest aspect of the AirDyne story is the way it has been treated by the company responsible for it. Much as they try they cannot kill off this durable, dependable and useful product. Sure the assembly instructions could be better but you'll get it done. Phooey on the corporate ding-dongs who won't support this great product; they won't even tell you that you can't buy if from a dealer down the street. Get out there and use this machine. You'll love it. Your cardiologist will probably hate it....but what do you care, you;ll probably outlive him!!

I've owned two over the years. I've actually just sold my last one but still feel compelled to tell how great it is. I've owned an airdyne for the last ten years and when i was a cyclist I used it regularly. It always perfomed flawlessly and is built to withstand a nuclear blast. Push/Pull action can really get the heart rate up even if you are fit. They've been building it for decades unchanged for a reason.

The Schwinn Airdyne is one of the most complete exercises a person can do for over all fitness. Obviously it provides a dual workout using the upper and lower body. I use it to prepare for the winter ski season and the summer hiking/peak bagging season. The aerobic conditioning is top notch, and Dr. Ken Cooper (Aerobics, 1968) stated in his 1982 book (The Aerobics Program for Total Well Being) that the Airdyne was one of the best, if not the best ergonomic machine to use for conditioning. I bought mine from a Schwinn store and it arrived assembled. In 6 years I have taken it in twice for a "tune up". But structurally the equipment is sound and there hasn't been major issues. I ride the Airdyne 3-4 times a week, usually for 30 minutes and when I use it regularly I can get my resting heart rate from the mid 70's to the 50's.

Stamina 15-9003 Deluxe Conversion II Recumbent / Rower Stamina 15-9003 Deluxe Conversion II Recumbent / Rower

Reviews

This exercise gear is an excellent product and operates as advertised. Assembly with the detailed instructions provided was fairly simple. The instructions ask you to inventory the parts, in particular the bolts and nuts packaged together in a plastic bag. However, they warn you that some bolts may already be attached to their parts, so it made up-front inventory not very easy. I just went on ahead and did the assembly. When assembly was completed, I found that all parts had been included in the packaging. There was one broken part, and as suggested in the instruction booklet, I went to the Stamina Products website to order a replacement. Stamina acknowledged the request and the replacement part arrived within four days. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a high-quality combination recumbent bicycle and rowing machine.Stamina 15-9003 Deluxe Conversion II Recumbent / Rower

The Stamina 15-9003 is an excellent workout piece of equpment. It would be nice if the tension setting could get a little more difficult but for an older person using it it's fine. It certainly won't give you huge pecks or legs but it will give you a great cardio excercise. It set up very easy and was boxed great. I love the machine. The owners manual offers many other excercises and this was a major reason I purchased it. If you want more then an excercise bike and rower, this is your machine.

I received the Stamina rower/bike a few months ago. I wanted to use it for a while before I wrote a review, so I could comment on durability. Overall, I am very pleased. It is constructed well and it's very smooth. It is an excellent value, considering you get an exercise rower and a recumbent exercise bike in one. My rower/bike arrived in perfect condition. There was absolutely no damage from shipping. It was fairly simple to assemble, and using my own tools made it even easier. It comes with a set of rudimentary tools that will do the job, but it just takes longer. *A note on assembly: Some of the bolts and screws are pre-installed on the unit and are not included in the bag. During assembly, if you think you are missing a bolt, look on the unit, it's probably already in place. I read some reviews stating the resistance was too light. Well, it might be a mechanical issue or something else with individual units , but for moderate exercise, there is plenty of resistance. On the rower, I can get a good workout starting at level 4 and ending at level 6 or 7. On the bike, I start at level 3 and work my way up to level 5 or 6. I'm sure over the next few months I'll be using level 8 at some point, but I haven't needed to 'max' it out yet. The monitor is nice and I like the fact that it is built-in and doesn't sit on top like the less expensive model. It has time elapsed, distance, rpm, calories burned, and heart rate. (the heart rate feature only registers while holding the hand grips for the bike, so it won't register if you are rowing) The rower is very smooth and the motion feels natural. The bike is also quite smooth and the recumbent position is comfortable. I can really work up quite a sweat and get a great workout without leaving the house. Now for the reason I only gave four stars, which was also mentioned in other reviews: The foot rests for the rower. They are the only drawback for an otherwise superb machine. They simply don't hold your feet securely enough. My size 12 EEE's keep slipping out. No matter how tight I make the strap. So, what happens is it 1) affects concentration and 2)by holding my feet so they won't slip, after 30 mins. it's very painful. So, here's my remedy: I went to Walmart and bought a cheap pair of sneakers ($20) and an assorted package of bolts, nuts, and washers ($5) I removed the foot rests for the rower. I removed the insoles from the sneakers. I held the sneaker in the same position as it would be while rowing. I drilled 4 1/4"holes through the sneaker and through the foot rest. I then pushed the bolt through the sneaker and the foot rest, (placing a washer on the bolt first) then popped on the nut and tightened all four bolts. I used threadlock on the nuts so vibration/movement wouldn't loosen them. I slipped the insoles back in the sneakers and reinstalled the sneaker/footrest combo. It is now PERFECT. No worrying about my feet slipping and no more pain. For $25 it was a cheap and effective fix. I would recommend this machine highly, with the caveat that you may have to make some modifications to the foot rest. *I've added photos to the 'customer images' to show what the modification looks like.

I have used this machine for a week now and I am a happy user. Here are some good things. 1. The setup is easy, took me little over hour with detailed reading. The instruction manual can be little better with more diagrams but it's OK. 2. The design and quality are good. I would not give it a professional Gym equipment quality but it's good addition to your home gym. 3. The bicycle and rower are good. The machine is quiet. 4. The heart rate monitor is accurate. I have a wireless heart monitor and that rate is captured pretty quickly on this machine. Even on the expensive treadmill in the fitness center, it takes more time when you hold the handle. 5. There are strength training exercises given on the instruction manual. Those are good. 6. The seat is comfortable. I was impressed by comfort and convenience using it. 7. It easily folds upwards and saves space. Here are some cons. 1.When I started the machine for the first time, it gave a huge squeaking noise. Upon examination, I saw a scratch on the main bar. the seat hook was scratching on the bar. I had to hammer it on the side. Then it was OK. I wonder this is a manufacturing defect or some damage during transport. 2. Need to add more resistance. On the highest level it's not that hard to row. 3. It had some weird smell. After a while I realized the seat was stinking. Had to spray the deodorizer. I would give 4.5 stars just for the reasons above. I would recommend it for your home exercise. It is a fun and useful machine for many types of workouts. I normally buy from Amazon since it beats Ebay prises now-a-days. Here is a hint though - research more and you'll get better deal.

The actual product seems to be working out pretty good, although I have only been using it about 4 weeks. The only complaint that I would have is that it arrived damaged. This was not discovered until it was being put together as the packaging material was in the way upon the delivery inspection. The damage consists of a large dent on the seat track on the top surface and a banged up case around the pedals. Neither issue seems to have any affect on the operation of the bike, but it would be nice to have a better packaging set up on such an expensive items. If it wasn't for being damaged, I would have given it a 5 / 5 star review as the bike itself is very nice, easy to use and easy to assemble.

I've had my Freestyle for several months, and I think it's great! It was kind of a pain to assemble, but it's sturdy and quiet, and if you alternate your pace and position, gives a great whole body work-out. I've been working out at a gym for years, but I don't go as often since I got this. Don't need to. It doesn't stress my joints, either... very low impact. Put some good dance music on and it's fun. I love my Freestyle!

While it looks compact and efficient and the price seems right, the design is mediocre to poor. It is difficult to fold up, and not easy to transport. The screws and washers continually fall out. The electronics eat batteries very quickly and don't work well at all. I would not purchase this again.

This product is very wobbly and doesn't work very well. After five minutes of use, washers come off, screws fall out and the legs start to come off. The digital monitor doesn't work either -- it didn't record steps or heart rate. I probably should have realized that a $200 fitness machine was too good to be true!
