Trampoline
A trampoline is a gymnastic and recreational device consisting of a piece of taut, strong fabric stretched over a steel frame using many coiled springs to provide a rebounding force which propels the jumper high into the air. In a trampoline, the fabric is not elastic itself; the elasticity is provided by the springs which connect it to the frame.

4 Station Bike Rack w/ shelfReviewsThis is my favorite thing I have purchased on Amazon in a while, because of how much it improved our garage space. It took about 30 minutes to assemble, and the only other tool I needed to use was a pair of pliers for gripping to make it a bit easier. It easily holds 4 bikes, and the baskets are great for helmets and other bike needs. An excellent value at the 160.00 or so I paid for it. It comes in a VERY heavy box, and is awkward to move once assembled, so keep that in mind. Average Rating:![]() |

TrampolineReviewsWith the release of Trampoline, The Mavericks go and take their capabilities to the farthest reaches and pull it off flawlessly. This album is not a "country" album but since Country radio sold out to the clean pop of the Faith Hills and anything that sounds like cross over contemporary music, The Mavericks moved far past all that nonsense. Trampoline is a natural addition to the perfect progression of all the Maverick's albums to date. This is music for those that appreciate virtuosity and don't just look for what sounds like everything else. Raul Malo, Robert Reynolds, Paul Deakin and Nick Kane raised the bar on this. BUY IT!!!! since I collect Raul Malo and the mavericks cd's & dvd's I had to have this one. It is one of their first. This album is absolutely perfect from start to finish with not a bad song included. Raul Malo's vocals are silky smooth and a pleasure to listen to. His voice just seems to glide over the melodies, accompanied by some of the best harmonies in the business. Raul's voice is somewhat remenscent of the late Roy Orbison, especially "Fool #1" All in all, a musically perfect collection of mostly upbeat tunes that you can't help but tap your feet to. Ostensibly, this is country music but, despite the inclusion of a steel guitar, a banjo and some acoustic guitars, this album cannot really be described as country - even using contemporary definitions. Along with the aforementioned instruments, there are electric guitars, organs, pianos, drums, strings and a full horn section including trumpet, trombone, saxophone, flute and clarinet. Of all the instruments, the horn section is the most important but what makes the album so successful is that, despite the plethora of musicians, the overall fell of the album is relaxing and the musicians never get in the way of the outstanding voice of Raul Malo. The album didn't fit easily into any popular category, which may explain why it became far more popular in Britain (where radio stations generally play a broad range of music) than America (where radio stations cater for specific audiences). The first single (Dance the night away) made the top five in the UK pop charts, much to my surprise and delight. There are many other great songs here, all of them originals. This is an outstanding album, very different from their previous album (Music for all occasions) or indeed anything else they've recorded. Country fans may not appreciate it (unless they have eclectic tastes, like me) but if you enjoy high quality, easy listening music, you might enjoy this album. One of the blessings of the CD-era is the ability to skip less-favorable songs. With this album you don't need to. From start to finish, this is a billiant tour of the song-writing talent of Raul Malo. Highlights include the the subtly deceiving Latin sounds of "Dance the Night Away" and the misty-eyed nostalgia of "To Be With You." The old-time Gospel sound of "Save a Prayer" will get your feet tapping, and the mellow, soothing sounds of "Dream River" is a perfect way to end a fantastic album. Average Rating:![]() |

My TrampolineReviews"My Trampoline" is Peter Himmelman's 5th "My" CD aimed primarily at children. In chronological order, the previous four were My Best Friend Is a Salamander, My Fabulous Plum (Dig) My Lemonade Stand (Dig) and My Green Kite. Although Peter doesn't exactly repeat himself here, those familiar with these prior discs will find some earlier patterns continued in this most recent offering. Here, there's an ode to another Himmelman household pet ("King Ferdinand" the tortise), songs praising nature's bounty ("Florie Loves Flowers", "Endless Green"), a piano-based philosphical musing about the lawn("Ten Billion Blades of Grass"),and a zen-like examination of roles hidden in food analogies("Main Dish"). This song is a great example of how Peter likes to be at lot more subtle about "the message" than most kid-oriented songwriters. He pokes fun at himself for his former "picky eater" antics with "Peter the Pinhead". Almost every disc has one primarily spoken-voice throwaway track; here's it's "Statistical Factoids", which is pretty much what it says it is but with a nifty synth backing track and some pretty funny alleged facts listed. Humor is always a big element to Peter's kid discs, but it's a bit more scarce overall in "My Trampoline", although "Are There Any Kids Named Steve Anymore?" is a hoot and the opener, "Imagination" is a pretty funny Calvin-and-Hobbes-like exploration of kids' abilities to envision all sorts of stuff from humble surroundings. The musical settings to the songs are highly tasteful and continue to demonstrate Peter's excellence in crafting melodies and producing a full, rich musical backdrop appropriate to each song. This disc continues to demonstrate what is true about all of Peter's "children's" discs---they are NOT just for kids. It would be hard to find a grown-up who would not get just as much of a kick out of the music and lyrics of this (or any of the "My" discs) as most kids in the target audience would. Listen for yourself and prepare to become a Himmelman junkie once you do. Did I mention his whole other non-kid oriented, quarter-of-a-century-long-and-counting solo career studded with musical highlights, or his extensive TV-and-Movie music resume? Some other time, maybe. Most kids music tends to annoy the heck out of adults. Not so with Peter- his music is friendly for both little kids and bigger kids like me! I'm hoping this CD will give me a well-needed respite from Miley on our next car trip. Average Rating:![]() |

TrampolineReviewsTrampoline is a really intriguing album because it definitely divides the fan base of a band so definitively rooted in jam-band culture and folk-rock- this is Jack Antonoff's pop album and one needs look no further than "Alone on the Sea" to see that Jack was listening to a solid amount of Arcade Fire. So Jack's vocal style and song writing style have shape shifted to a simpler, Beatles-style attempt at writing a great pop album (with some hints of the folk-rock that Steel Train did so well on Twilight Tales). The results are pretty average, and the blame lies solely on Jack. This man is absolutely fantastic at playing guitar. Why does everything have to be so simple? Jack rarely rips it on this album, preferring to stay in the background of most songs... if your favorite writer decided to write a little bit less and keep it all a bit more streamlined for the sake of making it easier to read, I think you'd be pissed off and that's how I feel when I listen to Trampoline. Overall, this isn't a bad album- Firecracker is a really awesome song, Diamonds in the Sky is an incredible pop tune, and Leave You Travelling and Women I Belong To both remind me a little bit of Twilight Tales. But regardless, Steel Train does not deserve to be lauded for this album because they waste the talent that they have and choose instead to sound simpler to appeal to a broader audience. In my opinion, Steel Train's "Trampoline" surpasses all of their previous releases by a long shot. Not one of the songs on this album has failed to impress me. Steel Train's style is very unique and this CD is definitely one of my favorite releases of 2007. I would strongly suggest that if you are considering purchasing this album that you should because there is no way that you will be disappointed in it. I saw Steel Train several years ago before anyone really knew who they were and I wasn't impressed. I'm not a fan of "jam bands" as I prefer my music more fast paced and loud. So I wrote Steel Train off and never really listened to anything else they put out after that. I came across this cd by chance and gave it a listen to see if maybe things had changed in the past 4-5 years since I last saw them and indeed they have. "Trampoline" is a record I would listen to. It starts off strong with "I Feel Weird" which has keys and other instruments in it that almost makes you feel like you're listening to a Beatles cd, or some other great rock band of the past 30 something years. Congrats to Steel Train to growing and maturing and becoming better musicians. Out of the past thirty to fifty cd's i have purchased this the the best. easy to listen to laid back tunes with clever lryics and excellent beats. one of the best cd's I have ever heard The Steel Train has arrived at the station, and finally, it has arrived on time. With what may be an unprecedented concoction of indie, folk, and pop-desirability, Trampoline, Steel Train's sophomore release, begs any listener who comes its way to be devoured, spat out, and devoured all over again. However, when I first learned Steel Train was working on a new album, I didn't expect to hear a track-listing so radically different from that which is on their freshman release. For while their EPs and subsequent full-length, Twilight Tales from the Prairies of the Sun were more than good, causing many a critic to step back and listen once more, there was a critical element missing which leaved me unbalanced and marginally unsatisfied. Apparently, my sentiments came across loud and clear, for not only does Steel Train manage to avoid the deep, dark pit of Sophomore Slump Land, Trampoline is sure to be a forerunner in the unofficial race for the ever-popular Top Albums of 2007 list, including mine. Intex Recreation Swim Center Paradise Lagoon Pool, Age 3+ReviewsWe have neices and nephews ages 7, 6, 5, and 4 who come over and spend the night every couple of months. Summer had passed and we hadn't gotten to have them over but we had promised them they could swim next time they came to our house. Long story short, it's November, they were coming over and we needed a pool. This was perfect. Make sure you have a working pump!! Ours broke, we ran and bought a new one, it broke so we had to finish pumping it with a foot pump...whew but the kids had so much fun. It was small enough to fit on our enclosed sun porch but big enough that the kids could all splash around. They had a great time, it wore them out and our only regret was that our two big boxers couldn't get in the pool too. LOL They wanted to splash around with the kids but that would have been too much. We are very pleased with our purchase and the kids are already planning their next pool visit with aunt crystal & uncle gene. We bought this for a friend's birthday party where people wanted to do some oil wrestling. It worked perfectly! It was sturdy and well constructed enough to handle 3 adults wrestling around in it and pushing against the sides. At one point a 6'5", 240lb man fell directly on to the side of it, pressing the majority of his weight on to the inflated wall of the tub and it held. I would definitely buy this brand again! If it could handle the physical abuse that we put it through I'm sure it could handle a group of school children playing in it. good pool for [...] bucks, its spacious enough for a couple kids age 3-4 yrs old, maybe 3 kids but i think thats pushing it. 2 is optimal. got this because i live in japan right now and backyard is small (if you want to call it a backyard), so this pool worked out well, but if youre in the US then i think it would be better to spend the extra cash to get a bigger one. Just received this pool. Seems durable and decent size, but no drain plug as advertised. Ridiculous not to have a drain in a pool this size. Will have to deflate it to drain it otherwise will have to use a bucket to get the water out. Nice pool, big enough for a few kids or an adult and a couple of kids Average Rating:![]() |

Intex 2500 Gallon Filter PumpReviewsWOW. When I bought my Intex easy-set, metal-frame 18 x 48 pool 3 years ago, it came with the 1500 gph filter pump. Needless to say, it was very slow...Needed about 6 hrs a day to filter the pool and the filtercartridge had to be changed every other day. Rather than spend money to upgrade, I decided to utilize this pump and replace when it wore out. Well, I should have bought the upgrade long ago. My original 1500 gph pump finally died, so I purchased the 2500 gph one. The improvement was noticed immediately. You can actually SEE the water circulating! The suction is superb, which made vacuuming a breeze! Plus, I only need to run the filter about 3 hrs a day and the filter cartridge lasts at least 2 weeks. This pump takes the larger, size "B" cartridges, which are more expensive than the smaller, size "A" ones that came with the original 1500 gph pump. Most stores in my area sell them for about $15-20 each. However, I found twin packs at WalMart for $20! More powerful pump = less filter cartridge changes = more economical in the long run. Another improvement with this pump is the outtake screen has a directional nozzle to circulate the water. The original just had a screen and there was no force. The main thing people need to realize is that filter pumps do NOT clean your pool. You still need to vacuum regularly; maintain proper chlorine, Ph balance and use an algaeside as recommended for your pool. The filter pump helps to keep the water circulating, which helps keep the water from getting stagnant, which helps eliminate problems. With proper maintance, your pool water will stay clean and safe, all season long. I initially thought about going to the 4000 gph pump and I'm glad I did NOT. The suction with the 2500 gph pump is powerful enough for my size pool. I think the 4000 gph would be too strong and more suited for the larger, 24ft + pools. The pump do NOT come with a skimmer. If you do not have a skimmer, make sure you order one of those because you really need it to help you keep the pool clean. If you have an 18 ft pool, the hoses and attachments that comes with this pump work just fine. If you have a 16 ft or smaller, you will need the hose adapters. I absolutely love my pool and with this new filter pump, it will last for more years to come. I recently got this pump for a 12x36 pool. After reading reviews I decided to cut the holes larger instead of getting the adapters. Seems like a much better solution after trying it. The pump is very strong. it came with the whole pump kit including through connectors, valves, and hoses. I also like that it has a power switch on it. It has cleaned my pool out much faster than any previous pumps I have used. Great purchase. My generic pump (530gph) died the other day so i looked for a replacement. I have a 12 ft pool so I didnt need much but I decided this pump seemed the best value for the $. The package came in a original intex box and had all the necessary items for installation. Because i had a smaller pool with the 1 1/4 hose fittings I had two choices: buy an adapter or cut holes. I ordered adapters and couldnt wait so I cut holes. All I have to say is be very, very careful if cutting. On a small slip I cut almost an inch more of pool siding then I wanted. Thankfully the new fitting are real big and slid right in. I saved $ by not using the adapters and now I have a full 1 1/2 path instead of a 1 1/4 converted to 1 1/2. As soon as I turned on the pump it was a huge difference. For the first time I saw a circular movement in the pool. This thing is quiet and powerfull. it keeps the top part of the pool real clean. The bottom still needs help however. I plan on trying to use a vaccum attached to the outlet now that i have a more powerfull pump. Things that really make this pump better: On/off switch on unit (no more unplugging). Sediment valve to let all the big stuff out, quiet, powerfull, plunger valves (no more stuffing up holes to stop water flow to pump) Overall I am very happy I made the upgrade to this pump. I do not know if I just got a bad pump, but my pump does not work nearly as well as some of the other reviews posted. It does pump quietly; however it does not suck well enough to vaccuum the pool. The pump bogs down everytime I try to use the vaccuum. I have the 24X48 above ground Intex pool and I must say I am disappointed. The pump is excellent for circulation. Have a 16' round by 4' deep pool and have struggled to keep it clean with the original pump for two years. This one works so much better! We had to cut out the rubber things on the side of the pool in order to fit the larger hose attachments, but if you are careful...this works well. The adaptor fittings would not have been stable enough for the force this pump puts out, and would have stuck out from the wall of the pool farther. As it is they are pretty flush and seal well. I am very pleased with the value as I have seen this pump sold for up to $150 elsewhere. The company shipped it promptly, and it arrived in great condition. Average Rating:![]() |

The Firm Wave KitReviewsI love the wave! I've never used the firm before but it was recommended to me through a friend who has the old fanny lifter set. We both bought it and love it! It really does work your body more while doing the same exercises. I followed the calendar that comes with the set and they weren't lying when they said see results in 10 workouts. I lost 1/2 and inch off my waist and a 1/2 an inch off my thigh. That doesn't seem like much but in a week and a half?? More than the results I love the way I feel now! I have more energy and my legs and back no longer ache. After I bought this and loved it so much I went out and bought the firm weights kit and yoga kit. The weights come with four more workout DVDs which are a nice change if you get too bored, and the yoga is like a thirty minute cool down, very nice. The things which so great about the DVDs is how fast they go. Once you get the hang of it you couldn't imagine going slower, you'd get so bored, but it took me a solid two weeks to get it down right. Also I don't think the cool down is any where near long enough. After the longer work outs I do the yoga. If your looking to get in shape buy this!!! I have many of The Firm workouts and this one is lots of fun! It takes a little bit to get your balance but once you do you can really get a good workout. In the past, I have found the FiRM products to be too hard for me to complete. THis one was different and had a basic understanding CD as well as more advanced options but I was able to complete and use the product right away. I purchased the wave after seeing the commercials of course . Who can miss how fun it looks to work out on the wave . It is challanging once your'e on it , but it only comes with 2 DVDs that don't show much variety , I mean you get bored from the 2nd or 3rd time and your body gets kinda used to the challange. The introductory DVD is just a waste ! They should have included the 10 mins in one of the other DVDs rather than making a big deal about nothing. I enjoyed working out on the wave mostly when its used AS A WAVE :) hate the dancing around it part too . One big negative point about it , is that it hurts so bad when you sit or lye on the wave without any covering . The plastic is very harsh and slippery so I have to use the small matt or sometimes another cushion to make the exercises more comfortable. My overall experience is a 4 , because I feel more routines should be created for such an amazing idea and the material itself should be a bit made a bit softer on the top so sitting on it doesn't feel like sitting on rocks ! I tried this product because I want to shape my body. I was very disappointed when I started the DVD because it's very fast paced and there are no instructions on the steps before it starts there is a ten minute tutorial with basic use of the wave but not the moves. Not impressed. Wish I could get my money back. Average Rating:![]() |

Urban Rebounding Workout DVD, Compilation 1ReviewsI recently purchase a DVD for exercise to use on a mini trampline. I must admit that bouncing is not as easy,as I thought. The DVD is very compassionate and with out the bar,it is difficult the keep my balance. The instructor is aware that not all people are capable of maintaining their balance. So the tempo is okay and as I become more stable, I can keep up. DVD has many levels to choose and as I get better, I will advance also. Very good quick service. . .but the DVD had too many scratches and doesn't work very well. . . next time I will purchase a brand new item. I think it was marked "like new" but I would consider it to be "very used". I enjoyed this workout for a while; it is fun (who wouldn't have fun bouncing on a trampoline!?!) But it didn't seem challenging enough for me. I now have a treadmill and walk 3 miles in 45 minutes, which seems to increase my heart rate much more. I would recommend it if you are just starting an exercise program and want to do a fun, easy program. I LOVE the Urban Rebounder! It's a good way to get a full cardio workout and still have fun. It's hilarious to watch all the people on the DVD! It makes it much more fun! I love the main DVD. The abs routine is great; it really helps that you do crunches ON the rebouner, because for me, sit-ups and crunches on the ground hurt my back terribly. Also, the warm-ups (which last a good 20 minutes) are a good way to get in a quick, strong workout when you don't have enough time for the full thing. But anyways, I tried the dance workout DVD which came with the main package, but it wasn't as great as I hoped. It was fun, but came short of expectations. The only other problem I faced with the rebounder was folding it up. Three of the legs on mine don't fold and it's nearly impossible to fold the entire thing in half to fit it into the bag. So the downfall is that it's taking up quite a bit of space in my bedroom. Overall, I LOVE the urban rebounder. It's fun. The DVD is fun. The people are fun. And you can assure that you will get a workout with results. Even if your just jumping around on it with your friends, (which I do quite a bit :)) you enjoy it and can really feel your whole body getting toned. I definitely would recommend the Urban Rebounder. I have a regular old mini trampoline and this works just fine..you don't need the EXPENSIVE rebounder to do this. It is a workout. WOW! My heart rate gets up there..I have to slow it down. I can't wait till I can go straight thru at their speed Excellent workout and safe on the joints. Average Rating:![]() |

Urban Rebounding Workout DVD, Compilation 3ReviewsI bought this Compilation 3 DVD online and found me a rebounder in a mall for $40. I didn't think I need the entire Urban rebounding collection 'coz this DVD already has 4 routines. If I want something short but intense [in my opinion], I'd do Shannon's Interval Bound. My heart rate is up and I'm sweating like crazy at the end. It's easy to follow, easy on my knees and it really works. When my weight wouldn't go down anymore but I know I'm eating properly, I'd go back to rebounding for a week or so and that would break the plateau. I also do Tracy's Kickbound as an add-on to the Speed Interval training from Abs Diet 2 DVD. I use my rebounder all the time if I know the routines I'd do would have some high impact moves [even though the workouts are done by different instructors or from different programs]. I highly recommend this program. I only gave it 4 stars because my DVD has poor quality. THIS DVD IN THE MOST FUN I HAVE HAD WHILE EXERCISING. THE MUSIC IS FANTASTIC. I LOVE THE WAY THE INSTRUCTORS SHOW YOU WHAT TO DO. IT IS THE BEST ONE IN THE SERIES. ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT BUT THIS ONE IS SUPERIOR. Having the Urban Rebounder and the first two compilations just wetted my appetite to see the other types of workouts available in the series. Compilation 3 is also fun, effective, and something I will use to keep exercising without boredom. Kick Bound is led by the vivacious Traci. A little shorter (24 minutes) you will still work up a sweat. Interval Bound is just fantastic as it gives a good workout with a great variety of moves that are easy to follow. Hi-Lo will remind anyone old enough of your aerobics classes from the mid 80's thorugh mid 90's. Latin Bound was not for me, too slow paced and short to be a good workout. If want something new to change up your workout, this is a fun option. Its no tae-bo though. You may need to do a couple diffent workout routines to get a decent workout. This compilation does offer a good variety of workouts. The music in all four videos is very nice. Kick bound is my favorite just because Traci is the instructor. I haven't tried the Hi-Lo because it seems more for the advanced type and I'm just not quite there yet. I like doing the Latin bound on days when I'm not feeling very up to exersicing because its slow paced yet fun and upbeat. Interval bound is a nice change too, its more of a sporty type thing but its still fun. Average Rating:![]() |

Sunny Health & Fitness 40" Foldable Trampoline with BarReviewsI had an issue with the first product they sent. It was bent. I did ship it back and they promptly sent out a new one, which works. We got this for our 5 year old. We chose it because we didn't want a childrens one that she would outgrow. We are very happy with it. I didn't know the bar was adjustable, and that is a great feature. The whole family can use it, and it feels very safe. We have not folded it for storage yet, but the carrying case will come in handy. Bought it for my wife for Christmas...she really likes it... The unit is sufficiently solid and well built... bought for my 5 & 3 yr old boys that needed to jump- but NOT on my couch! :) They LOVE it- and it was SOOO easy to put together- the trampoline part you literally just unfold- NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING- it was SOO easy! Then you just screw on the legs and put on the stabilizer bar if you want to use it and it's DONE- I am SOOO glad I purchased this- and it's awesome that I can fold it back up and throw it in the closet when I really need it out of my way- although that will NOT be happening anytime soon. For busy little boys, this is PERFECT! I have jumped on it a few times and it is a nice smooth trampoline- but I've not used it for any extended period of time so I don't really have a review for adult usage- but again, I'm not the one I bought it for. We haven't taken it out of the box yet; it is a Christmas present for our son. But the price was great, and the featutes were exactly what we needed for him. Average Rating:![]() |

Sunny Health & Fitness 40" Foldable TrampolineReviewsI've used these mini-trampolines for many years since the mid-80s. The first ones were really expensive, but these newer ones are quite reasonable and of better quality. I typically use them for dancing. I put on some good vigorous music and then dance on the trampoline. It gives a good cardio workout and you can adjust the vigor of the workout to whatever you can take. Alternatively, I jog in place, and I usually do it to music. Most of my workouts these days are not over a half hour, but in the past I've worked out for over two hours at a time. I might add that I have been a runner throughout most of this time period and I use the trampoline mainly at times when I'm injured or during foul weather. They can give an excellent workout, almost as good as running. Expect the trampoline to be an expendable piece of equipment that will wear out. Mine have always given out at the springs and, when they do, it's probably best to just replace the entire trampoline. If one spring has broken, then all others probably aren't too far from it. This particular brand and model also comes with a little hand rail. Well, I just took mine off and have never used it. Think twice before spending the extra money to get it. My only complaint with mini-trampolines is that they tend to be somewhat harsh on my relatively weak ankles, but I've had no other physical problems. Gary Peterson Easy to set up. Some of the rubber caps on the legs were on the wrong end and I had to switch them to get the legs to screw on. Otherwise--my kids have been jumping on it all day--no problems! I just got this item. It was a pain to put together and one of the legs had no threads on it and was unusable. There is no way to contact the company to just replace the leg and it's a total pain to have to go to the hassle to return this item. I can't get the latch to unlock so I can refold it. Piece of junk. Average Rating:![]() |

40" Foldable Exercise Trampoline - 40" Foldable Exercise Trampoline - A16189 01ReviewsMechanically this trampoline is great. It has good springs and is well constructed. However, the trampoline smells like a rubber factory, and the smell has continued quite strong for some three weeks now with only a small diminution. It may be the paint, or the rubber in the feet, or whatever. I would recommend other people to find another trampoline with the same mechanics, but without the smell. Trampoline TerrorReviewsI didn't know anything about this game. I saw Trampoline Terror on Amazon, thought it looked fun, and bought it. I was taking a chance buying this game, but I'm glad I did. In each level, there are a certain amount of bombs, that you must set off. While you try to set off the bombs, there are turtles, UFOs, rabbits, robots, etc. trying to stop you. At the beginning of each level, you get a certain amount of P-balls. P-balls are your ammo, which you use to temporarily kill your enemies. Of course, there are trampolines. The trampolines can be used to hop away, quickly, from your enemies. But each trampoline can only be hopped on a certain amount of times. Trampoline Terror starts easy, and gets harder as you progress. This is a nice little game, for all ages. Trampoline Terror is one player. Average Rating:![]() |

Airzone 38-Inch Mini Band TrampolineReviewsBest thing they ever invented! I have a fallen arch, pulled achilles tendon and bunions. Walking my little dogs is almost impossible for me. I like aerobic dance with hand weights and I was looking for an alternative to walking. This has strengthened all my foot problems. Using the handweights together with this is the best for a total aerobic workout. Very easy to assemble. Highly recommended! This is our third trampoline. The first two had springs which broke quite often. My wife uses this every day and I appreciate how quiet it is and that I won't need to replace any springs. We found it easy to assemble but it does take two people. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the blue cover did not have holes in it for the legs. Bought this due to foot pain I have, this worked great for running in place and I use it with my Wii Fit program, no more foot pain while running in place. Plus it gets the cardio going much better than just running on the floor. Installation was not as bad as I expected, with 2 people we tackled it pretty easily. Very difficult to assemble. 3 of us (all adults) tried and gave up. Sent it back for a refund. I ordered this because I bought my daughter an Airzone bungee trampoline with an enclosure the model is "My first Airzone trampoline" through Walmart.com I couldn't afford 500-$1000.00 for a bungee trampoline from Germany so I saw this one springless and it is not bouncy at all it is very jarring and good for a more athletic bounce I was looking for a more fun, easy bounce or "soft bounce" silent rebounder. VERY dangerous to assemble but the instructions are right on and it warns you throughly to please follow the directions to the "T". This mini is easy to store and is a good started if you are heavier and once you break it in a little it is STILL stiff athletic syle bouncer not that bouncy, bounce you get with a more exensive brand. This mini trampoline is made in China on the box but Airzone is a USA company? So anyway it's confusing... my mini is powder coated and sturdy and my husband will use it so it won't be a wasted purchase. I will save my money and go for Bellicon bungee rebounder. My order was drop shipped from Target.com delilvered on a Saturday, Fedex free shipping! Average Rating:![]() |

Bazoongi 48" BouncerReviewsWe bought this for our Autistic son who has sensory issues to use during the winter months when his outdoor 10 foot trampoline is packed away. He seems to like it, but not as much as we had hoped. It just isn't springy enough. He'll use it, but I would have hoped he'd have used it more. Oh well, it's better than nothing! :) This trampoline was a gift for my son for christmas. I would recomend it to anyone with small children. My child has just turned 2 and thinks this is the greatest thing to ever enter his room. I do wish the handle bent in more over the actual jump area for little arms to reach easier, but he's getting to where he doesn't hold it all the time anyway. It would also be nice if there was a little more padding in the spring cover, but it is still better than most I've seen. I did take the advice of other reviewers and I filled the legs of the trampoline with sand to add some weight for better stability. I'm glad I did and would recommend this to any other purchasers. I simply took the plastic caps off the bottoms and drizzled glue inside with my hot glue gun to plug the holes, packed the sand in and then put the caps back on. The product guide says not for children under age 5 or 6, but I see nothing wrong with very young child on this, of course with supervision. Honestly for as crazy as my 2yr old gets I'm not sure this trampoline will be big enough for him when he reaches 5 or 6. Definitely worth the extra money over any other childs trampoline. I wouldn't even consider going to something with only 4 legs. Its is a little larger than some models, but I don't think it would be as stable if it was any smaller. I've jumped on it and I'm 125lbs. It held me just fine. I can understand where some people say its tought to assemble. I assembled the circular frame by myself with the help of some metal lubricant and a rubber mallet. It makes a world of difference to stand the frame on its side to get the last section into place. I was able to get 2/3rds of the springs on by myself before I just didn't have the strength to pull them far enough, but my husband had no problem. I recommend reading the instructions, my husband tried to get it together by himself a couple days before I gave it a try, the holes for the springs to attach to the frame go on the top (its incredibly hard to get the frame apart once it is together), and it really does make it simpler to attach the jump pad if you attach the springs alternating opposite sides. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. Both my girls are off the charts (height and weight) so I can't always go by age recommendations for some products. I really like this trampoline because it is rated up to 100 lbs, so both my 5 and 2 year old can use it (one at a time, of course). I also like that it has 6 legs, rather than 4, so it's very stable and my girls jump like crazy. I feel like it will last us a few years. Both girls (and every friend who has been to our home this winter) have loved it. I purchased this trampoline for my 2 1/2 year old niece for Christmas. My husband put it together fairly quickly and with no problems. It is very sturdy, well built and designed for safety. More important, it was the biggest hit of Christmas Day. When we arrived with it, the play kitchen, the easel, the dolls, everything else was forgotten. All the kids stood in line for the rest of the afternoon to take turns on it. It is now February 1st and my sister says that sometimes my niece goes at it nonstop for up to three hours at a time. Then she takes a great nap! We thought she might tire of it, that the novelty would wear off fairly quickly, but it hasn't. I researched this item online and compared it with others available and their reviews, and this one stood out far and wide above the rest! We couldn't be more pleased. If she ever wears it out, we'll be getting her another one. This bouncer was very stable and didn't take up too much room. Perfect for kids age 3 to 8 and was not hard to put together. The Kid Who Invented the Trampoline: and Other Extraordinary Stories About InventionsReviewsThe title of this book was probably created by the publishing company's marketing department to appeal to kids and hence sell more copies but the book is obviously not written in a style for just children to enjoy. It is simple and straight forward so is not complicated and children of any age will enjoy and learn from it but it does have enough detailed information that anyone interested in the origin of inventions just out of interest or conducting research for journalistic articles or university assignments would find it an excellent reference tool. Inside you'll learn about the origins and inventors of false teeth (used to be taken from corpses), post it notes, toilets, toilet papers, snow mobiles and other stuff. You'll also learn interesting pieces of trivia such as Walt Disney beat to death a sleeping owl when he was a kid and was so horrified by what he did that he decided to do what he could to help animals. Have you ever wondered how all those simple inventions, you know, the ones we use everyday and often take for granted, came about? Well fortunately for us, Don Wulffson has always "wanted to know" and has taken the time to research, and compile a fascinating book about the origins of fifty common inventions, many that we use everyday. Find out who invented Post-it Notes, toilet paper, napkins, and the pencil eraser. Or maybe you've always wanted to know how ketchup came about, or hair coloring, deodorant, the toothbrush, or even the vacuum cleaner, and washing machine. Well now you have the opportunity to find out. Each short chaper is written in an easy to read, conversational style, and is chock full of historical information, fun facts, and trivia, including photographs, old advertisements, sidebars, and fact bubbles, to grab your attention, and enhance learning. Perfect for youngsters 9 and older, The Kid Who Invented The Trampoline is a book that whets the appetite, and peaks one's interest, and once your kids start reading, it's a book they just won't want to put down. So find out who invented the birthday cake, and the Happy Birthday song, and enjoy! This leisure read will delight any young fan of odd facts - and plenty an adult reader. From a New Jersey 8th grader who invented the snowboard to Jules Leotard - who was in love with his image, and the invention of catsup by the Chinese, this delightful compendium for kids covers many a common item and provides delightful facts in a lively photo-embellished presentation. Boing!ReviewsMost nights, sandwiched between my sons (ages 6 and 4) I read two books before they go to bed. We read 4-5 new stories each week and fill the rest of our time with favorites from their large bookshelf. I've come to learn that reading aloud is a partnership. The author and illustrator provide the basic tools but, ultimately, the reader must use them to bring the story to life for the audience. That energy starts with clear pronunciation and enunciation, building with rhythm and cadence, upon which voices (or impersonations) match the different characters and sound effects are layered to complete the story. Ultimately, "Boing" lives or dies depending on your performance. My sons loved this book. They have their own trampoline, so a story about the "Great Elastic Marvel" bouncing all over the city was a perfect match. For "Boing" I've got two tips: 1. Narrate the book as though you are the ringmaster of a circus: "Ladies and Gentlemen...Children of all ages!" 2. Place your hand on the book; when the Great Elastic Marvel bounces back into the sky, throw your hand into the air with an enthusiastic "Boing!" In summary, I highly recommend this book for bedtime reading. The Great Elastic Marvel landed a five-star rating from our sons. BTW: Check out my review of The Monster at the End of this Book from my list of "Young boys' bedtime books" for more tips on reading aloud. What a fun and imaginative book! Both my four year old son and I found it entertaining read after read. The pictures are inventive and there are plenty of fun details. I found it by chance in the library and can't believe I never heard of it before! My two-year-old loves this book. When I read it, I leave out some of the words so make it shorter and more succinct. We checked it out of the library several times and now we are going to buy it. We had great fun enacting the scenes from the book with stuffed animals. Practising a 'deadly difficult quadruple, headfirst flip', the Great Elastic Marvel (five times World Trampolining Champion) misses his trampoline and plunges out of a high storey window. Absorbed in a TV cartoon, his son Felix does not notice that his father is hurtling towards earth and certain death. But is it possible that the Great Elastic Marvel's gymnastic skills can save him? Boing! Boing! they do, time and again as he bounces up and down in a series of extraordinary feats. This wonderfully entertaining tale with its deadpan, perfectly placed text is illustrated with black line and wash in the French style reminiscent of Bemelmans and Dufy. Stripey awnings and acursive script at dramtic moments reinforce the Gallic flavour and there are lots of delicious jokes in the illustrations. A triumph that will be enjoyed by everyone from five upwards. Rosemary Stones ("Books for Keeps" magazine September 2004) Average Rating:![]() |

The first modern trampolines
The first modern trampoline was built by George Nissen and Larry Griswold around 1934. Nissen was a gymnastics and diving competitor and Griswold was a tumbler on the gymnastics team, both at the University of Iowa, USA. They had observed trapeze artists using a tight net to add entertainment value to their performance and experimented by stretching a piece of canvas, in which they had inserted grommets along each side, to an angle iron frame by means of coiled springs. It was initially used to train tumblers but soon became popular in its own right. Nissen explained that the name came from the Spanish trampolín meaning a diving board. George Nissen heard the word on a demonstration tour in Mexico in the late 1930s and decided to use an anglicized form as the trademark for the apparatus.[1] However, there is also an 18th century Italian word trampolino meaning springboard, from trampoli meaning stilts which could also be a source.
In 1942 Griswold and Nissen created the Griswold-Nissen Trampoline & Tumbling Company, and began making trampolines commercially in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
